UK may soon ban boiling lobsters alive in a landmark bill that acknowledges that crustaceans and mollusks, too, are sentient beings.

As per a report by London Evening Standard,A landmark piece of animal welfare legislation is making its way through the UK parliamentary system.

House is making amendments to the legislation that would say that it would be, crab, lobster, octopus, squid and other aquatic animals are recognized as sentient creatures that can feel pain.

It would give them legal protections and stop fishmongers and chefs boiling crustaceans alive.
