The reason behind stopping the shooting that the lead actor Henry Cavill tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
According to the site Redanian Intelligence, production on Season 3 was stopped on July 25.But the shooting was shut without previous warning..
No release date for The Witcher Season 3 has been declared. Extending the production calendar is not so easy because many time the actors get busy with their schedules.
The Witcher is currently one of the biggest Netflix productions so the delay can affect the cast members and the crew members also.
But there is still no response from the makers and netflix. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The streamer has however confirmed that filming has “paused due to COVID” and that the shoot will resume as soon as “it is safe to do so.”
