Epic Universe Death News
A tragic event at Universal’s new theme park, Epic Universe in Orlando, has shaken visitors and staff alike.
On Wednesday, a man in his 30s became unresponsive after riding the popular roller coaster Stardust Racers, and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. The authorities are investigating what caused this heart-breaking incident.
Stardust Racers is one of the newest attractions at Epic Universe’s Celestial Park area. It’s a dual-launch steel coaster manufactured by Mack Rides.
The ride spans nearly 5,000 feet of track, reaches speeds of up to 62 mph, and climbs to about 133 feet, including thrilling features like an inverted crisscross section known as the “Celestial Spin”.
The roller coaster remains closed while Universal Orlando Resort works closely with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to determine the full circumstances.
Universal has expressed its deepest condolences to the victim’s family and pledged full cooperation in the ongoing investigation.
Safety warnings for the ride include restrictions for guests with heart conditions, high blood pressure, back or neck issues, pregnancy, or recent surgery. These guidelines are posted to ensure riders understand the physical demands of the coaster.
As details continue to emerge, the incident has raised questions about ride safety, medical conditions, and emergency response in theme parks. For now, visitors are urged to heed warnings and take precautions before boarding such high-intensity rides.
