The government of India has came up revised gst rates. On Wednesday, the Council announced a major revision in GST rates, limiting the slabs to 5% and 18%, with a special 40% slab reserved only for select items like high-end cars, tobacco, and cigarettes.

Food Items With Zero GST-New GST Rates

This food items have no gst applied on them now:-

1. All types of chapatis and paranthas
2. Ultra-high temperature (UHT) milk
3. Paneer
4. Pizza bread
5. Khakhra

Reduced GST of 5% instead of the earlier 12% or 18% On Certain Items Listed Below:-

1. Butter and ghee
2. Dry nuts
3. Condensed milk
4. Sausages and meat
5. Sugar-boiled confectionery, jams and fruit jellies
6. Tender coconut water
7. Namkeen
8. Drinking water in 20-litre containers
9. Ice cream, pastries, biscuits, cereals and sugar confectionery
10. Other fats and cheese will also now attract 5% GST, down from 12%.
