In 2006, Eric Church had been selected to open for Rascal Flatts “Me and My Gang” Tour. It was slated to be his first major arena tour a milestone for any up-and-coming artist.
However, Church later found out (partly from online sources) that he was replaced on the tour by a young Taylor Swift, then about 16 years old, performing her song “Tim McGraw.“
