As per the reports chandra barot was battling Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis since the past 11 years. Though he was receiving treatment but due to extreme health issues he passed away a hospital in Mumbai on Sunday (July 20). He was 86.
Deepa Barot, confirmed the news of his death to The Times of India.She told the media that ,”He had been battling pulmonary fibrosis for the past seven years”.

Amitabh took to his blog a wrote a note,”Another and another sad moment”.He added,”Dear dear friend and my director of DON – Chandra Barot passed away this morning … It is difficult to put in words the loss .. we worked together yes, but he was more a family friend than any else .. I can only pray”.
