Akshay Kumar beach clean-up
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar demonstrated his commitment to environmental causes by actively participating in a beach clean-up drive at Mumbai’s Juhu Beach on September 7.Kumar came up with this after the ganpati visarjan.
Kumar was seen joining hands with Amruta Fadnavis (wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis) and BMC Commissioner Bhushan Gagrani to promote environmental responsibility.
The videos are viral on social media ,and it can be seen that kumar is collecting litter alongside volunteers while urging citizens to take ownership of cleanliness in their communities.
Akshay remarked, “Wisdom teaches us to maintain cleanliness. Our Prime Minister has also emphasised that it’s not just the government’s or BMC’s responsibility, but a collective duty of every citizen”(sic)
