A man named pratim bora who is former partner of influencer Archita Phukan, was arrested on July 12 by Dibrugarh Police for creating a fake social media profile using AI‑generated images of her.
The fake account of Archita Phukan
The account under the username “Babydoll Archi” is a fake profile where ,morphed explicit images, including one with US adult film star Kendra Lust was posted.
The influencer said the the fake profile circulated which her friends and followers first encountered as genuine .
Police Arrested Pratim Bora
Police said that Bora had gone into hiding, but they located him by tracing his phone.The cyber crime officer said,”We tracked the accused using IP address data and technical evidence. He was arrested from a rented apartment in Tinsukia. His phone and laptop have been seized and sent for forensic examination.”
Police informed that bora admitted that he created the fake account out of anger and emotional frustration following the end of his relationship with the woman.
