Kiernan Shipka will be seen next in the film itled Goodnight, Phone. The campaign cleverly exposes how our modern obsession with screens, especially late at night, can turn into a real-life nightmare.
The trailer opens like any traditional horror movie a quiet house, dim lighting, and a sense of unease. But this time, the monster isn’t a ghost or demon. It’s the smartphone.
Shipka plays Ava, a young woman trapped in a cycle of doomscrolling as she lies in bed. Her endless scrolling takes a dark turn as terrifying visions emerge from her phone screen. Notifications flicker like jump scares, and eerie content begins to invade her world.
Her partner, played by Jake Cannavale, sleeps peacefully beside her, seemingly protected by his Hatch Restore sleep device, while Ava’s world collapses under the weight of digital addiction.
The short film blends psychological thriller and satire, making viewers question their own nighttime scrolling habits and maybe, prompting them to finally put the phone down.
