Patrick Fugit, best known for his breakout role in Cameron Crowe’s cult classic Almost Famous (2000), is once again in the spotlight as the film celebrates its 25th anniversary.
At just 16 years old, Fugit charmed audiences as William Miller, the wide-eyed teen journalist following the fictional rock band Stillwater. Today, the actor’s life looks very different from the Hollywood hustle.
Patrick Fugit Sifts to Texas
Fugit recently revealed that he, along with his wife Jenny del Rosario and their child, relocated from Los Angeles to the quiet countryside of Texas.
He explained that the city’s constant energy didn’t align with the lifestyle he envisioned for his family. Instead, he embraced rural living raising chickens and goats, tending to a garden, and enjoying the simplicity of open space.
Fugit fondly recalls the once-in-a-lifetime experience of working alongside stars like Kate Hudson and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. He admitted to having a teenage crush on Hudson during filming and shared how Hoffman’s powerful presence helped shape his performance.
Fugit continues to work in the entertainment industry. With digital auditions and flexible opportunities, he maintains a balance between family life in Texas and his acting career.
